ChemCon is privately held, independent service provider for our customers from the pharma and biotech industries.

In January 1997 ChemCon was founded by Dr. Peter Gockel and Dr. Raphael Vogler as a chemical consulting company. Only a year later the company started as a chemical manufacturing company. ChemCon’s first cGMP clean room went into production in June 1998.

In July 2000 ChemCon passed the first FDA audit without any deficiency and was Germany´s youngest, independent company to pass an FDA audit.

ChemCon has completed over 500 projects since, more than 50 of which are APIs for different phases of drug development.

We are currently manufacturing for 9 active DMFs with products on American and European market.

ChemCon’s growth results not only in larger floor space. The number of employees constantly increased to currently 55.

In 2003 ChemCon has started an apprenticeship program that gives young people the opportunity to become certified laboratory assistants.

In August 2003 the ChemCon America Inc. was founded to intensify the services for our U.S. customers.

Dr. Raphael Vogler (CEO ChemCon GmbH)

Dr. Vogler studied chemistry at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg and received his doctorate degree from the Inorganic Chemistry Department of Dr. H. Vahrenkamp in 2000. He is one of the founders of the BioValley Deutschland e.V. and an active board member.

Dr. Gockel studied chemistry at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg and received his doctorate degree in 1995 from the Inorganic Chemistry Department of Dr. H. Vahrenkamp.
